Okurukuru’s stunning location is only 15 minutes south of New Plymouth – just off the main highway between New Plymouth and Oakura. The Tasman Room
Our main function room, the Tasman Room is situated downstairs opposite our Barrel Room. The Tasman Room can seat up to 80 people theatre and banquet style, with the ability to open doors out into the Barrel Room to seat more if necessary. The Tasman Room offers natural light and has its own private lawn overlooking the Tasman Sea. State of the art audio-visual equipment, styling and theming elements and special furniture can all be arranged for you and are available for hire. 

The Barrel Room
The newly refurbished Barrel Room can accommodate up to 150 guests seated and up to 250 cocktail/theatre style. With natural light and neutral colours, this is the perfect venue for larger functions and conferences. The doors open out on to the private lower lawn where guests can enjoy views of the Tasman Sea. The Barrel Room can be used in conjunction with the Tasman Room to further adapt to your function requirements.

We also cater for weddings, functions and meetings upstairs in the main restaurant. We are happy to open outside our normal operating hours for larger functions/groups. Contact the cafe for further details.
